Nordic Road Map for Blue Bioeconomy

Seizing the Potential for Sustainable Growth

28 November: New added-value products from fish and algae, vol. 2

Following our workshop New added-value products from fish and algae in Copenhagen last year, the #BlueNordic project will organise its second added value workshop in Helsinki on 28 November.

Time:  Wednesday, 28 November 2018 at 10am–4pm

Venue: Allas Sea Pool, Katajanokanlaituri 2a, Helsinki

Registration: will be opened late-October

Continuing the work done in Copenhagen, the workshop aims to come up new ways to produce added value and economic growth from aquatic biomasses, such as low value fish, fish side streams and microalgae.

Goals for the workshop include:

  • Developing a common plan with concrete ideas for research and innovation of added value products and production, and set base for new funding opportunities on a Nordic and EU level
  • Bringing together Nordic industrial and leading scientific experts to build up a co-operating network and to foster public-private partnership

The keynote speakers and a detailed agenda for the workshop will be disclosed later in October.

Travelling to the workshop

The participants are to take care of their own travel arrangements. However, we have a limited budget to support the travel expenses to ensure participation from all Nordic countries. More information will follow.
See you in Helsinki!
